Pole Adapter Kits For Garmin-Hummingbird-Lowrance

$39.99$99.98

We do not currently offer a package that includes only the cover with the adapter.  You will need to purchase another sleeve and cover if you want a pre-drilled cover and and do not want to drill out one of your existing ones.

Since we launched our sleeve products, one of the most common questions that we get as far as how to retro fit different poles since our center hole is not big enough.  After considering many different design options we wanted to design an adapter that is structurally sound, requires minimal cover modification, results in minimal loss of cover strength due to modification, allows full hole coverage, and universally fits the factory poles for the Garmin Livescope, Hummingbird Mega Live, and Hummingbird Mega 360 poles, as well as the aftermarket poles made by Summit, Bass Khang, Arc Lab, and others.  We have not been able to confirm that our adapter will work with the factory Lowrance Explorer Transducer Pole since we are not sure you are able to remove the handle and tripod from the pole to accept our adapter.  However, using an aftermarket pole that has a removable handle and tripod for the Lowrance Active Target should work since only the transducer attachment is really all that is different.

Disclaimer: Any cover that has been modified from the original factory design by Sven’s Sleeve to fit the pole adapter, or that is modified by anyone else will not be warrantied in the event of breakage.  While you should still have confidence in walking on the covers, there is a chance that the modifications that we have done or are recommending will result in some loss of structural integrity and become susceptible to breaking from less pressure than a non-modified cover when walking on, standing on, or jumping on them for any period of time.  If you are modifying another companies covers we cannot make any claim to how their covers are effected if you modify their covers to fit our adapter.

Please ready full product description below for more information on the various setups and modifications needed.

If you bought one of the following kits, your setup is already to go:

  • Pole Adapter With Portable Sleeve and Covers – Center Mount Comes With Smoke Cover and Offset Mount Comes With Clear Cover
  • Pole Adapter With Wheelhouse Sleeve and Covers

If you bought only the adapter and will be modifying the cover please note the following needs and recommendations:

  • Tools Needed
    • Drill Press (strongly recommended) or drill
    • 2” hole saw (you may also use a 1” hole saw inside the 2” hole saw to keep it centered”
    • 2” x 6” board
    • 2 pressure clamps
  • Instructions
    • Clamp cover to board and drill press platform to prevent to cover from moving
    • Center hole saw(s)
    • Drill slowly into cover
    • If available round the edges with a chamfer tool, deburring tool, or sand paper
    • Insert adapter and then thread on the collar to secure to cover
      • For poles 1 3/16” or less in diameter use the ½” thumb screw into the hole of the triangle base so it sets into the bushing enough to prevent the bushing from pulling out, but still allows you spin the bushing. This will allow you to pull the handle and cover at the same time.  You will use the ¾” thumb screw to secure the pole to the round bushing so you can spin the pole and bushing inside the adapter.
      • For poles that are wider then 1 3/16” but 1 7/16” or less you will not use the bushing at all. You will just use the adapter base with either the ½” or ¾” thumb crew to secure the pole to the adapter.  With the exception of the factory Garmin Livescope pole, you will not be able to spin the pole separately from the adapter, so if you need to pan your transducer you will actually just spin the cover.
    • Sven’s Sleeve Wheelhouse Cover
      • Center mount – using a 2” hole saw, make sure you are centered over the hole when you are drilling through the cover so that your hole bit is outside of the 3 rectangles that are by the center hole. These rectangles are the injection points from the injection molding process and need to be completely removed to eliminate the structural integrity loss the exists when the center hole is made larger and if they are not removed.
      • Offset mount – using a 2” hole saw, you will make one of the 4 holes outside of the center of the cover 2” wide. Using a 2” hole saw, make sure you are centered over the hole when you are drilling through the cover
      • Other mount options – some users may consider drilling out a bigger notch in the side of the cover. This is not a mount we will be testing, as a significant majority of users will be using this hole as a dedicated hole for their setup.  We have offered the offset idea for those that still want to fish out of the same hole.
    • Sven’s Sleeve Direct On Ice Cover
      • Center mount – using a 2” hole saw, make sure you are centered over the hole when you are drilling through the cover so that your hole bit outside of the 2 rectangles that are by the center hole. These rectangles are the injection points from the injection molding process and need to be completely removed to eliminate the structural integrity loss the exists when the center hole is made larger and if they are not removed.

      • If you order the direct on ice package with both cover offsets they will come as the clear cover with the center mount and the smoke cover with the offcenter mount.
